Hello, My name is Thomas Oleksa I am the Seventh grade General Science teacher. I am in my 36th year in teaching at the Richland School District. I am a 1989 graduate from the University at Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Science degree and a 1993 Graduate from Frostburg State University with a Master of Education degree with an administrative and supervision. I am the Department Chair for the Science Department with the school District. Over the past four years, I have been working and still currently working with the IU8 and the PennSEL network gaining valuable information and knowledge on the Next Generation Science Standards to lead science department in the implementation of our new science curriculum and the Next Generation Science Standards for our district.
I have taught Seventh grade Life Science and Eighth and Seventh Grade Physical Science classes, exploring science, and science intervention. Current I am teaching all grade 7 General Science classes.
