The 2027 Best School Districts rankings have been released by Niche.com, and the Richland School District is proud to achieve outstanding recognition once again.
According to Niche's latest evaluation, Richland School District earned the #1 rank in Cambria County as well as #1 in the IU08 region, which encompasses Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset counties.

Message from the Superintendent - September 25, 2026
The Richland School District is addressing a serious incident that occurred this afternoon during elementary car rider dismissal involving a parent who entered the school building without authorization when told to stop multiple times by administration and staff while students were exiting the building, refused to follow directions from school administration, and engaged in increasingly argumentative and disruptive behavior.
