Welcome to 3rd and 4th grade Learning Support. Below are some classroom procedures.
Classroom reminders:
Students have 2 chances at spelling tests. ** Students will get the better of the two scores.*** If a student does not get 100% on the pre-test, they can take the test the following day. Typically, spelling pre-tests are on Thursdays and tests on Friday (unless a student receives 100% on the pre-test). Vocabulary tests are also on Fridays. Students make and bring home vocabulary cards at the beginning of the week for vocabulary tests. Math and spelling homework completion is apart of students' grades. Please check agendas for any homework that needs to be done. Also, students are encouraged to read at home. Students will have a Reading Log in the "bring back" side of their folder. Anytime the student reads at home, please track the time on the reading log. Students are rewarded in class for time read at home.

Grade 4: Reading/ELA - Students got new spelling words and vocabulary words. We will be reading a historical fiction, The Moon Over Star. Tests on these will be Thursday, April 17. Spelling words: I'd, he's, haven't, doesn't, let's, there's, wouldn't, what's, she's, aren't, hasn't, couldn't, he'd, they're, can't, isn't
Math - Students will continue in Unit 7: liquid measures, fraction as a multiple, multiplying whole numbers and fractions, multiplying whole numbers and mixed numbers, multistep number stories, identifying patterns, decimal number stories, displaying data
Grade 3: Reading/ELA - Students will get new spelling words. We will be reading a folktale, Martina the Beautiful Cockroach. Tests on the text and vocabulary will be Thursday, April 17. Spelling words: and, band, bland, brand, gland, grand, hand, land, sand, strand
Math - Students will continue Unit 7: liquid volume, number stories with measures, fractions on a number line, comparing fractions, locating fractions on a number line, fractions in number stories, fractions of a collection
