GJCTC Evacuated on 4/18/24

The Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center is closed for the remainder of the day and all students have been safely returned to their home school districts.

A carbon monoxide alarm sounded, the building was immediately evacuated, and the Richland Fire Department is onsite. All students, tenants, and staff are safe. Students have been sent back to their home schools and tenants and staff sent home.

GJCTC will post a notification when it is safe to return to the building.

RICHLAND ELEMENTARY SAP TEAM WINS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

The Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals (PASAP) has awarded the Richland Elementary Student Assistance Team as the Distinguished Elementary Student Assistance Program (SAP) Team of the Year. There are 2,978 elementary schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Fiscally Responsible School Board The Richland School District spends less per student than 487 of the 500 Pennsylvania Public School Districts while maintaining strong programs in academics, arts, and athletics.
  • Great Athletics Programs The Richland Rams have historically performed at high levels in individual and team sports. Within the past year, individual and teams have won the conference, district, and state championships.
