Richland School District is committed to maintaining a safe learning environment while ensuring transparency with our families. We are sharing information regarding Act 44 of 2025, a new Pennsylvania law that changes how school districts must report and communicate weapon-related incidents. These new requirements take effect on January 6, 2026.

  • Excellent Academic Programs Richland School District has led the four (4) county Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 in academic achievement for two consecutive years in the Pittsburgh Business Times rankings of all 500 public school districts in Pennsylvania.
  • Fiscally Responsible School Board The Richland School District spends less per student than 487 of the 500 Pennsylvania Public School Districts while maintaining strong programs in academics, arts, and athletics.
  • Great Athletics Programs The Richland Rams have historically performed at high levels in individual and team sports. Within the past year, individual and teams have won the conference, district, and state championships.
  • Multiple Fine Arts Opportunities The Richland Performing Arts Center is the proud home of Richland School District's concerts, musicals, special events, and guest performances.
