This semi-annual communication reminds you that any Richland School District Board Policy or district procedure requiring an annual notice to students, parents, employees, and/or the public is available on the Richland School District website: www.richlandsd.com.

SNAP Benefits Information

Starting this fall, most adults aged 18-64 will need to meet work requirements to continue receiving SNAP (food stamps). These work rules do not apply to people who meet an exemption.

Fuel their day with a nutritious and filling meal at school. Studies show school breakfast can provide about 48% of the fruit, 40% of the dairy, and 30% of the whole grains students need daily. Let's help our kids start strong!

Richland High School has been recognized as one of the Best High Schools in the Nation (2025–2026) by U.S. News & World Report! Even more exciting, Richland was ranked #1 in the IU8 Region, which includes schools across Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset counties. 🙌

Excellent Academic Programs Richland School District has led the four (4) county Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 in academic achievement for two consecutive years in the Pittsburgh Business Times rankings of all 500 public school districts in Pennsylvania.
Fiscally Responsible School Board The Richland School District spends less per student than 487 of the 500 Pennsylvania Public School Districts while maintaining strong programs in academics, arts, and athletics.
Great Athletics Programs The Richland Rams have historically performed at high levels in individual and team sports. Within the past year, individual and teams have won the conference, district, and state championships.
Multiple Fine Arts Opportunities The Richland Performing Arts Center is the proud home of Richland School District's concerts, musicals, special events, and guest performances.
