Richland School District Students Shine at 2025 Pennsylvania TSA State Conference

Students from Richland Junior High and Richland Senior High School demonstrated exceptional talent and innovation at the 2025 Pennsylvania Technology Student Association (PA TSA) State Conference. Competing in a range of challenging categories, Richland students earned top placements in various events, showcasing their skills in fields ranging from biotechnology to digital video production and problem-solving.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires each school district to prepare and submit a “Comprehensive Plan” as part of long-range future plans. Comprehensive Planning is a process used to ensure that all students are achieving at high levels. The plan will be available for public viewing for 28 days prior to official school board approval.

This semi-annual email shall notify that any Richland School District Board Policy or district procedure requiring annual notice to the students, parents, employees, and/or public will be found on the Richland School District website at www.richlandsd.com.

The district will post this notice on our website and various social media sites in September and March of each year if any updates occur throughout the school year. In addition, we will notify our parents and employees via email in September and March of these policies requiring annual notice.

  • Excellent Academic Programs Richland School District has led the four (4) county Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 in academic achievement for two consecutive years in the Pittsburgh Business Times rankings of all 500 public school districts in Pennsylvania.
  • Fiscally Responsible School Board The Richland School District spends less per student than 487 of the 500 Pennsylvania Public School Districts while maintaining strong programs in academics, arts, and athletics.
  • Great Athletics Programs The Richland Rams have historically performed at high levels in individual and team sports. Within the past year, individual and teams have won the conference, district, and state championships.
  • Multiple Fine Arts Opportunities The Richland Performing Arts Center is the proud home of Richland School District's concerts, musicals, special events, and guest performances.
